THE STORY:

In 1999, the beginnings of what would eventually become Breakfast For Dinner formed.  Devin, Jesse, and John started a basement band.  They went under a number of monikers including Put It Where It Don't Belong, amongst others.  When they made their debut at a Diabetes Benefit Walk in Belleville, IL they didn't want to be a trio.  They invited John Wayne to join the band.  Since John had passed away they used the next closest thing, a cardboard cutout with a Diabetes Benefit T-Shirt.  With the Duke joining them they marked the occasion by renaming the band "The John Wayne 4"   This performance was a once-off, as the band disbanded shortly afterwards.  These are the only pictures that surfaced including a picture from a practice session.
